Privacy Policy

This policy explains how NetWit (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects and uses your personal data when you visit netwit.co.uk or sign up to be notified about our launch. NetWit is operated by Phil Curran, an individual based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at any time at privacy@netwit.co.uk (or hello@netwit.co.uk).

We are the “data controller” for the information described below, which means we decide how and why it is processed.

What we collect and why

When you sign up to be notified about our launch, we collect:

• Your email address — so we can tell you when NetWit launches and send you occasional updates about the product. Our lawful basis for this is your consent, which you give by entering your email and confirming your sign-up.
• Which sports you play (the optional “which do you play?” selection) — so we can understand demand and prioritise which sport to build. This is anonymous demand data tied to your sign-up; lawful basis is again your consent.

When you use the site, we collect limited technical and usage information:

• Analytics and server data via Cloudflare, which hosts and protects the site. Cloudflare provides us with privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics — such as how many people visit, which pages are viewed, device type, and general region — without using cookies and without tracking you across other websites. Cloudflare also processes your IP address and basic request data to deliver pages and guard against attacks. Lawful basis: our legitimate interest in understanding site usage and running the site securely. Because these analytics are cookieless and do not identify you individually, no consent banner is required.

We do not collect payment information at this stage. If and when NetWit introduces paid features, this policy will be updated before any payment data is processed.

Cookies

We keep cookies to a minimum. We use only the essential cookies needed for the site to function and stay secure (provided by Cloudflare). We do not use advertising cookies or cross-site tracking, and our analytics are cookieless — so we don’t need a cookie consent banner. If this changes in future (for example, when we add user accounts), we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where required.

Who we share it with

We don’t sell your data. We share it only with the service providers that make NetWit run, each acting as our data processor:

• Cloudflare — hosting, DNS, security, and privacy-friendly analytics
• Kit (kit.com) — our email marketing platform, which stores your sign-up details and the launch and update emails we send you
• Zoho Mail — the mailbox we use for direct, one-to-one correspondence (for example, if you email us or we reply to you)

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK/EU-approved data transfer mechanisms) to protect your information.

How long we keep it

We keep the email address you signed up with until you unsubscribe, or until we’ve finished the launch communications and you haven’t become an active user, whichever comes first. Analytics data is retained in aggregate for as long as it’s useful for improving the product. You can ask us to delete your data at any time (see below).

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

• access the personal data we hold about you;
• ask us to correct it if it’s wrong;
• ask us to delete it;
• object to or restrict how we use it;
• withdraw consent at any time (this won’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it);
• receive a copy of your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these, email privacy@netwit.co.uk. Every marketing email we send also includes a one-click unsubscribe link.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data, you can complain to the UK’s Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk, though we’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as NetWit develops — particularly when we add user accounts or paid features. When we make material changes, we’ll update the date at the top and, where appropriate, let you know by email.
